The Ray Society’s publishing philosophy is liberal and includes monographs, taxonomic guides, keys, and historically important works. The Society particularly welcomes submissions from a diverse authorship.The Ray Society is a non-profit making charity (Registered Charity Number 208082) run by a council of scientists. It does not pay royalties to authors (although they will receive 10 free copies of their book), and the publication process is non-commercial. Volumes are typically hard back productions which are distributed via Natural History Book Service (NHBS), as well as via the Society’s webpage.
